BID Training- Governance & Responsibilities of the BID Board

Friday, 28th July 2017, 10:00am-4:00pm

Venue: The Office Group, The Bloomsbury Building,10 Bloomsbury Way, London, WC1A 2SL

New for 2017 and free for British BID members. This one day course is focused on BID Board members.

As the BID industry continues to expand, one of the most important issues for BIDs, their Boards, levy payers, local authorities and Government are that good governance arrangements and quality management systems are in place and operate throughout the term.

To be sure that any BID is being managed with the very highest standards aimed at compliance, transparency and inclusiveness, Board members, particularly BID Chairs, need to be fully aware of their corporate and legal responsibilities, as well as compliance with the particular Regulations governing BIDs. As scrutiny of and challenge to BIDs quite understandably increases, it is the responsibility of Boards to evidence to levy payers that they fully understand the importance of their role and attendance at this Course will help support this.

Drawing upon legal frameworks, this invaluable one day Course will also draw upon and exchange best practice examples, as well as highlighting where it could all go wrong.
