Business Improvement Districts return to ballot every five years. To secure continued support, they must demonstrate that they are delivering the right priorities effectively, transparently, and with measurable impact.
Robust monitoring and evaluation are essential. This includes tracking key performance indicators, reviewing governance and operational procedures, assessing projects and financial performance (including budgets and cashflow), undertaking independent audits and mid-term reviews, maintaining ongoing communication with levy payers and stakeholders, monitoring risk, investing in staff development, and planning strategically for the next BID term.
This course guides participants through the practical tools and techniques that BIDs can use to measure performance, strengthen accountability, and continuously improve their BID’s impact and effectiveness.
